DEREK joined the label three years ago as National Promotion Director and grew to Sr. National Promotion Director. He will continue to oversea the rap department in his new position. “Hard work pays off and I’m grateful that the senior staff as well as my comrades and peers have acknowledge my efforts and consistency,” said PEARSON. “Staying in tune with the times and keeping ahead of the curve is key.” Prior to joining UNIVERSAL MOTOWN PEARSONS’s career path included stops as National Dir./East Coast Mix Show Promotion for the former MCA RECORDS and a similar position with WARNER BROS, RECORDS.

Having cut his own unique path into the entertainment industry, Grizz noticed Ryan’s potential as an outstanding writer and performer and signed him to a management deal with his company, Dyman Entertainment. He has set his personal and musical heights for the stars, and is currently taking spot dates performing his debut single, “This Could Be Love” as well as other songs from his upcoming album.
